Artist Nicole McGee is a local reuse artist who creates beautiful pieces of art from discarded materials, but when it came to creating a logo for her new pop-up retail space, Collective Upcycle, she needed to start from scratch. She enlisted Elbee Studio to create the branding for the store.
Collective Upcycle will debut on Saturday, Jun 11, 2011, in the Gordon Square Arts District at 6710 Detroit Avenue, and remain open Tuesday through Sunday for three weeks until Sunday, July 3rd. More than 25 reuse artists and upcyclists will participate.
Don’t miss it.

The Cleveland Harbor West Pierhead Lighthouse has made world news this winter after waves from Lake Erie, propelled by high winds, turned it into an ice structure.
The lighthouse was automated in 1965 and the Fresnel lens was removed and donated to the Great Lakes Science Center, where it is on display.
Now, photos of the lighthouse are on display the world over. After a local photographer took some of the first images of the ice sculpture forming, the lighthouse went viral, appearing on news outlets the world over, including Pakistan.
